Demonstrative image of the project to replicate a gaming interface called The Finals.

Overview

This replica is part of my journey to learn and understand UI and UX in video games, replicating some of the interfaces that I believe do a good job of presenting their world to the user and guiding them through it.

Goal

The goal of this is to learn the basics, ways of thinking, and techniques used by video game designers, in order to learn from them and implement them in my own work.

Why The Finals UI?

New face in the genre

Embark's designers have managed to differentiate their product from other shooters on the market. Not only in terms of gameplay, which in my opinion is the best in its genre, but also by delivering a UI that feels fluid and distinct from the rest.

Details

The Finals UI shows attention to detail on every screen, inviting you to explore every interaction. From leveling up your account and passes to earning rewards and receiving feedback within games.

Communication

The interface manages to communicate every action to the user without feeling overloaded with information or creating confusion about where to collect rewards. This contributes to a simpler, more agile, and enjoyable game, as you know exactly where to look and find things.

Next steps

I am currently creating a videogame. I am applying what I have learned in courses on accessibility, game design, and my previous work as a UX/UI designer. Stay tuned :)
